5StarWines – the Book is the prestigious Vinitaly competition that awards the best wines of Italy with blind tastings by an international jury of oenologists, critics, sommeliers and specialized journalists.

It is a tasting that puts the spotlight on wineries that invest in improving their products. The jury of highly qualified professionals will taste the samples and award a cent vote to the participating wines.  Il Burrone Toscana IGP of the new line I Monovigneto wine stand out among the over 2000 samples that took part in the selection and has been included in the guide 2021.

Excellent results for CAMPERCHI wines at the 26^th Grand International Wine Award conferred by MUNDUS VINI

Gold medal for Sangiovese “Camperchi Alto” and silver medal for Toscana IGP “Il Burrone”; two important awards that place our labels among the best international productions.

new important international recognition for two wines of the CAMPERCHI that have positioned themselves among the best in the Grand International Wine Award conferred by MUNDUS VINI. The Sangiovese “Camperchi Alto” has won the gold medal, while the “Il Burrone” Toscana IGP has been awarded the silver medal.

Almost 7,500 wines from the most important production areas in the world participated in the Mundus Vini International Competition, now in its 26th edition.

A jury of expert winemakers, winemakers, specialist retailers, sommeliers and journalists – from 54 countries – tasted and voted the different wines by analyzing their organoleptic characteristics.

These awards represent an important reference for consumers who want to buy wines with high standards.

The results obtained by Camperchi wines demonstrate the great passion of the company and the constant commitment to guarantee the highest quality by using all the peculiar characteristics of its territory. The award-winning wines are in fact part of the new “I Monovigneto” line which expresses the peculiarities of the various Camperchi vineyards; distinct personalities enclosed in the bottle, capable of transmitting unique sensations and emotions.

Sangiovese “Camperchi Alto” has a minimum aging of 20 months in 1st and 2nd passage tonneaux and 20 months in bottle. The colour is an intense ruby ​​red with a nail tending towards garnet. It has a complex aroma, with hints of red fruits and jam, followed by spicy notes of cinnamon, pepper and tobacco. The pleasantly tannic taste is enveloping with excellent persistence.

The Toscana PGI Rosso obtained from the grapes of the “Il Burrone” vineyard is aged for a minimum 12 months in wooden vats and tonneaux and 6 months in bottle. The intense ruby ​​red colour has a garnet nail. Pleasant berry aroma with spicy notes. The taste has a good structure at the entrance and reserves a soft finish with good persistence.
